Municipal Health Service (GGD)

What is it?

Every municipality is required to promote public health and combat infectious diseases. To this end, municipalities have established the Municipal Health Services (GGD). For more information, please visit the GGD Gelderland-Zuid, with which our municipality is affiliated.

In the event of a disaster, the GGD works in collaboration with the Medical Assistance for Accidents and Disasters (GHOR).

In the event of a nationwide epidemic, the Center for Infectious Disease Control (CIb) coordinates and supports the municipality in this effort.
