Municipal Health Service (GGD)

What is it?

Every municipality must promote general healthcare and combat infectious diseases. To this end, municipalities have established Municipal Health Services (GGD). More information can be found at the GGD Gelderland-Zuid, to which our municipality is affiliated.

In the event of a disaster, the GGD works together with the Medical Assistance in Accidents and Disasters (GHOR).

In the event of a national epidemic, the Center for Infectious Disease Control (CIb) coordinates and supports the municipality in this task.
