At the same time, the municipality remains committed to helping provide shelter for Ukrainian refugees and unaccompanied minor foreign nationals.

Alderman den Boom-Witzel: “As a municipality, we have a responsibility to provide shelter for refugees and displaced persons. However, upon closer inspection, Raadhuisdijk 18 and Wilhelminastraat 9 turned out to be less suitable. This summer, we will explore other ways to make good use of these properties. The alternatives developed with the sounding board group provide a solid foundation for this.”
