Municipality of West Maas en Waal once again main sponsor of DijkenSport
The municipality is extending its sponsorship agreement with DijkenSport until 2029. This means that the municipality will remain the main sponsor of the event. With this extension, the municipality is underlining the great importance of DijkenSport for recreation, tourism, and the regional reputation of the fruit-growing region in the river area.
Leading event
Over the past 25 years, DijkenSport has grown into a leading sporting and recreational event that attracts thousands of participants and visitors every year. The event not only focuses on sport and exercise, but also showcases the unique qualities of the river landscape and fruit-growing region.
A calling card for our region
Alderman Marieke van den Boom is proud of the continuation of the collaboration: “DijkenSport is a wonderful event that literally and figuratively sets our beautiful region in motion. The landscape, the dikes, the water, and fruit cultivation come together here in a unique way. That makes the event a showcase for our region. As a municipality, we wholeheartedly support that.”
