The Municipality of West Maas en Waal appeals against Jasmin Group

This is an old post.

The City Council decided today to appeal the court’s ruling in the preliminary injunction proceedings that the Jasmin Group had filed against the municipality.

Preparations are also underway for summary proceedings regarding the fees Wamel the Jasmin Group for ’t Veerhuis in Wamel .

Alderman van den Boom-Witzel: “We disagree with the court’s ruling. We contested the payment for services that were not provided, but the judge did not take that into account. We also believe that the services provided by the Jasmin Group to ‘t Veerhuis can be considered a partial fulfillment of the lease agreement we contested.”

While these two proceedings are ongoing, the municipality wants to explore whether it can reach a resolution with the Jasmin Group without going to court. Alderman van den Boom-Witzel: “In my view, we would both benefit from a period of calm at this time—at least until July 1, 2024.”

On June 27, the council will decide on the future use of Raadhuisdijk 18 in Maasbommel Wilhelminastraat 9 in Wamel.
