Festival Next Generation: an afternoon full of action, creativity, and connection

On Friday, July 3, youth workers in the municipality West Maas en Waal will host the Next Generation festival West Maas en Waal the second time. Following a successful first edition, this year’s event promises to be another fun and active afternoon for young people.

For young people from group 8 up to and including second grade

The festival is specifically for young people from West Maas en Waal, from 8th grade through the second year of high school. It will take place on the grounds of the Unitas ‘28 soccer club in Wamel. Between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., young people can participate in a varied program featuring sports and creative activities.

Varied program with something for everyone

Participants can, among other things, play laser tag, kickbox, print textiles, and fly drones. There is something for everyone. The activities are supervised by professionals and volunteers who work together to make it a safe and fun afternoon.

In addition to the activities, there is ample opportunity to meet each other and relax. Food and drinks will be provided. Participation is free, and registration is not required.

Tickets via youth work

Participation in the afternoon is free. Young people can pick up their ticket from the youth worker. If they do not have a ticket, they can call 06 8233 0110.

Alderman Rob Reuvers is enthusiastic about the initiative: “With Festival Next Generation, we offer young people an accessible and fun way to come together, discover new things, and be active. It is wonderful to see how youth workers, volunteers, and organizations collaborate to make such a valuable afternoon possible for the youth in our municipality.”

Everyone is welcome

Young people from the municipality are cordially invited to come to Unitas ‘28 on Friday, July 3, at 13:00 and participate in this enjoyable festival afternoon.
