What is it?
You are throwing a party
In some cases, there is a reporting obligation for hosting a party, and in some cases, a permit is required.
No notification or permit
For a private party. A party is private when:
- It is not commercial, but has a private character;
- It is held in a building or on premises owned or leased by the organizer;
- No admission fee or other financial contribution is required.
- Visitors come by personal invitation;
- Drinks are provided free of charge only.
Report
You must register a party when:
- It concerns a small one-day event;
- Fewer than 150 people;
- The party is between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.;
- No obstruction to traffic and emergency services;
- Objects that are placed are smaller than 10m2.

Reports are free of charge.
License
You need a permit for all other parties that do not fall under the above conditions. The standard fee for a permit is€106.00(amount for 2026).
