You're throwing a party

In some cases, there is a requirement to notify the authorities when hosting a party, and in other cases, a permit is required.

No notification or permit

For a private party. A party is considered private when:

  • It is not commercial in nature, but rather private;
  • It is held in a building or on a site owned or leased by the organizer;
  • No admission fee is charged, nor is any other financial contribution requested
  • Visitors are invited on a personal basis;
  • Drinks are provided free of charge.

Report

You must register a party when:

  • This is a small, one-day event;
  • Fewer than 150 people;
  • The party is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.;
  • No obstruction to traffic or emergency services;
  • The structures being installed are smaller than 10 square meters.

To register, please follow these steps: Send an email to info@westmaasenwaal.nl. In the email, please include the date of the party, the start and end times, the number of guests, and the dimensions of the tent (if applicable).

Reports are free of charge.

Permit

You need a permit for all other parties that do not fall under the above Requirements. The standard permit fee is€106.00(2026 rate).
