You are throwing a party

In some cases, there is a reporting obligation for hosting a party, and in some cases, a permit is required.

No notification or permit

For a private party. A party is private when:

  • It is not commercial, but has a private character;
  • It is held in a building or on premises owned or leased by the organizer;
  • No admission fee or other financial contribution is required.
  • Visitors come by personal invitation;
  • Drinks are provided free of charge only.

Report

You must register a party when:

  • It concerns a small one-day event;
  • Fewer than 150 people;
  • The party is between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.;
  • No obstruction to traffic and emergency services;
  • Objects that are placed are smaller than 10m2.

You can register as follows: Send an email to info@westmaasenwaal.nl. Please include the date of the party, start and end times, number of people, and tent dimensions (if applicable).

Reports are free of charge.

License

You need a permit for all other parties that do not fall under the above conditions. The standard fee for a permit is€106.00(amount for 2026).
