Exhibition by Berty Lamers on display at City Hall
From April 1 through the end of June, Berty Lamers will be exhibiting her work at the Beneden-Leeuwen town hall.
About Berty Lamers
Berty Lamers is 78 years old and lives in Beneden-Leeuwen. She started painting about 40 years ago. She took lessons from Pieter van Oostveen. In small groups, they learned from each other and from Pieter.
Later, Berty decided to paint together with a few women. They took turns hosting each other at their homes. They did this every five weeks. Over the years, the group grew smaller. Now Berty still paints with one friend, every week.
Realistic oil paintings
Berty prefers to paint in a realistic style using oil paints. She has tried other techniques, but oil paints remain her favorite.
In this exhibition, you can see her earlier works as well as her artistic development over the years.
