Exhibition by Caroline Verkoelen
From April 1, 2026, through the end of June 2026, Caroline Verkoelen will be exhibiting her paintings at the town hall in Beneden-Leeuwen.

Caroline Verkoelen enjoys painting images that inspire and move her. The process of creating a new painting brings her great satisfaction and joy. She enjoys experimenting with different materials, subjects, and levels of detail, which allows her to create a diverse range of works. She currently works primarily with acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints.
Caroline has been drawing and painting her whole life, and has regularly taken creative classes and courses. She really started painting in earnest in 2014. That’s when her passion for painting completely took over her life:
"Finally, plenty of time to paint!" A new creative "career," a new path.
In recent years, Caroline has drawn much of her inspiration from elegant women’s legs, high-heeled shoes, and flamenco dancers. In addition, most of her recent work consists of portraits (commissioned pieces based on photographs). She regularly takes to the road in her self-painted art van, “Arty,” to paint in peace and quiet amidst inspiring surroundings.
