Alura Art Exhibition: Sneak Preview of "Urgent Optimism"
From October 9, 2026, through January 7, 2027, Alura Art will be exhibiting her mixed-media paintings at the town hall in Beneden-Leeuwen.

The exhibition includes, among other things, a selection from the *Spiral Thresholds* series, which focuses on spiral-shaped thresholds and the labyrinth of life. Sustainability, personal choices, leading, and following are central themes in this series of large-scale artworks. The artistic development that led to this work-in-progress series was made possible in part by the Province of Gelderland. You’ll get a unique preview of the exhibition titled “Urgent Optimism,” which will be shown elsewhere in the region next fall.
The artworks have a layered quality, resulting from a blend of classical painting techniques combined with threads, and thus capture the time period during which they were created, step by step. Each work is colorful and invites you to pause, look, and experience what the work does to you. The works on display vary in form and size, ranging from 182 x 182 cm to 50 x 70 cm.
“Life is a dance between vulnerability and strength. Art is the oxygen that creates the space to pause for a moment and let yourself be moved.” — Alura
