Our rural areas contain various farmsteads that form an important part of the landscape. These farmsteads stand out in the landscape. Your farmstead also contributes to the landscape. The brochure may give you ideas on how to better harmonize your farmstead with the landscape. The brochure contains information about:

The landscape is very diverse. Each area has its own characteristics. We also refer to these as landscape types. The landscape in the municipality of West Maas en Waal consists of six landscape types: the Waaluiterwaarden, Waaloeverwal, kommen, river dunes, Maasoeverwal, and Maasuiterwaarden.
