Our rural areas are home to various farmsteads that form an important part of the landscape. These farmsteads stand out in the landscape. Your farmstead also contributes to the landscape. The landscape is very diverse. Each area has its own characteristics, also known as landscape types. The landscape in the municipality of West Maas en Waal consists of six landscape types: the Waal floodplains, Waal riverbank, basins, river dunes, Maas riverbank, and Maas floodplains.
