Sustainability Loan for Nonprofit Organizations
Would you like to make your clubhouse more energy-efficient to lower your energy costs and help protect the environment? Consider solar panels, window or roof insulation, or heat pumps. If so, you may be eligible for a sustainability loan.
We offer this sustainability loan through the Dutch Public Housing Incentive Fund (SVn) . This loan allows you to borrow money at a favorable interest rate to implement energy-saving measures for your community center.
Requirements
The Sustainability Incentive Loan is available exclusively to:
- Owners of buildings used by nonprofit organizations;
- Nonprofit organizations that manage and use a building but do not necessarily own it.
- The applicant for a Sustainability Incentive Loan is a legal entity.
The Sustainability Incentive Loan is provided exclusively for measures that demonstrably contribute to:
- a reduction in energy demand or a reduction in CO2 emissions for an existing building;
- increasing the share of renewable energy sources, or preparing for such an increase;
- taking measures to improve the energy performance of a new building compared to the legal standard in effect at the time of application.
The Incentive Loan may never exceed the actual costs. The amount ranges from a minimum of €10,000 to a maximum of €50,000, including VAT. The actual investment may exceed the maximum principal amount of the Incentive Loan. The closing costs for a requested loan may be co-financed.
The interest rate is 1.6% as of the date the regulation is adopted. The interest rate remains fixed for the duration of the loan.
The term of the Incentive Loan is a maximum of 15 years.
