Village deal for Altforst 'approved'

This is an old message.

Maintaining and improving quality of life

The application for the Village Deal has been submitted and approved. Six organizations and associations from Altforst concluded this deal together with the municipality of West Maas en Waal and the province of Gelderland. With the subsidy obtained, we will investigate how and to what extent all plans can be made feasible.

Village deal

There are a number of issues in Altforst that require effective and logical coordination. There are challenges and developments in many areas: social cohesion, participation, livability of small communities, volunteer work, housing, school buildings, village halls, and sports. These important developments cannot be viewed in isolation from one another. They require an integrated approach.

Key questions in the Village Deal

The village deal for Altforst focuses on the following questions: What can we do together in terms of social structure and organization to ensure that everyone can continue to participate in all kinds of activities in the village? What is needed to achieve this? And is it affordable?

Kick-off meeting and the feasibility plan

After the summer, we will get to work under the guidance of a coordinating, supportive external supervisor. In this phase, the feasibility plan will be drawn up in consultation with all parties involved. We will organize a kick-off meeting for the village to explain the assignment and ask for feedback on the approach.

Moving forward

This is followed by construction sessions to flesh out the current situation, desired situations, and tasks. Residents, associations, organizations, and others participate in these sessions. People engage in dialogue with each other to make the plans more attractive and concrete. We also actively ask for contributions from all parties. The result of these sessions is a plan with concrete tasks and cooperation agreements. This will be presented to the village in a final meeting.
