Village deal for Altforst
Maintaining and improving the quality of life
The application for the Village Deal has been submitted and 'approved'. Six organizations and associations from Altforst concluded this deal together with the Municipality of West Maas en Waal and the Province of Gelderland. With the subsidy received, we will investigate how and to what extent all plans can be made feasible.
Village Deal
There is a lot going on in Altforst calls for effective and logical coordination. There are challenges and developments in many areas: social cohesion, inclusive participation, the quality of life in the small town center, volunteer efforts, housing construction, the school building, the community center, and sports. These important developments cannot be viewed in isolation from one another and require a comprehensive approach.
Key questions in the Village Deal
The village agreement for Altforst on the following questions: What can we do together to improve the social structure and infrastructure so that everyone can continue to participate in the various activities in the village? What is needed to achieve this? And is this financially feasible?
Kickoff Meeting and the Feasibility Plan
After the summer, we will get to work under the guidance of an external coordinator who will provide support. During this phase, we will develop a feasible plan in consultation with all stakeholders. We will organize a kickoff meeting for the village to explain the project and solicit feedback on our approach.
Moving forward
This is followed by planning sessions to flesh out the current situation, desired outcomes, and specific tasks. Residents, associations, organizations, and others participate in these sessions. People engage in dialogue to refine the plans and make them more concrete. We also actively seek input from all parties. The result of these sessions is a plan with concrete tasks and collaboration agreements. This is presented to the village at a closing meeting.
