There is a lot going on in Altforst calls for effective and logical coordination. There are challenges and developments in many areas: social cohesion, inclusive participation, the quality of life in the small town center, volunteer efforts, housing construction, the school building, the community center, and sports. These important developments cannot be viewed in isolation from one another and require a comprehensive approach.

Therefore, in June 2022, various organizations and associations from Altforst, together with the municipality of West Maas en Waal, concluded a so-called Dorpendeal with the Province of Gelderland.

In a "Village Deal," residents, municipalities, business owners, community organizations, and the Province of Gelderland come together to make new agreements aimed at fostering social cohesion in a neighborhood or village.

The Village Deal for Altforst on the following questions: What can we do together to improve the social structure and layout of the village so that everyone can continue to participate in all kinds of activities there? What does this require? And is it financially feasible?

A project group has been formed. It includes the following organizations and associations. They signed the Village Deal last year:

VundamenZ Project Team

First, we sought a coordinating, supportive project manager. We selected VundamenZ from Ommen for this role. Their approach, knowledge, and experience regarding quality-of-life issues in small communities best aligned with the terms of the tender.
VundamenZ has assembled a project team to guide the project group.
