Villages

Spread over an area of 8,584 hectares are the villages of Alphen, Altforst, Appeltern, Beneden-Leeuwen, Boven-Leeuwen, Dreumel, Maasbommel, and Wamel. Each of these villages has its own character, which is determined by the river on which it lies.

Each village has its own basic amenities such as schools, shops, sports fields, and village halls. Beneden-Leeuwen serves as a center for administration, education, and culture, and its well-stocked shops offer everything the modern consumer could wish for.
