What is DigiD?
You can use your personal DigiD to log in to government websites. For example, you can file your tax return using your DigiD. You can also request an extract from the Personal Records Database (BRP) online or report a change of address. You can apply for a DigiD on the DigiD website at.
Would you like to handle government business online on behalf of someone else? You can do so using DigiD Authorization. You can only handle matters for which you have been granted permission. You can also apply for this through the DigiD website.
How does it work?
Here's how to apply for a DigiD:
- Please enter the following information on the website of DigiD:
- social security number
- date of birth
- contact information
- Choose your own username.
- You will receive an activation code by mail.
- Activate your DigiD using the activation code and your username.
Your DigiD will expire if you don't use it for 3 years.
