What is DigiD?
You can use your personal DigiD to log in to government websites. For example, you can use your DigiD to file your tax return. It is also possible to request an extract from the Personal Records Database (BRP) via the internet. Or to report your change of address. You can apply for a DigiD via the DigiD website.
Would you like to arrange government matters online for someone else? You can do so with DigiD Authorization. You can only arrange matters for which you have been given permission. You can also request this via the DigiD website.
How does it work?
How to apply for a DigiD:
- Please enter the following information on the website of DigiD:
- social security number
- date of birth
- address details
- Choose your own username.
- You will receive an activation code by mail.
- Activate your DigiD with the activation code and your username.
Your DigiD will expire if you do not use it for 3 years.
