Didier Oosterom Appointed Permanent Municipal Secretary of West Maas en Waal Following an Interim Period
Didier Oosterom will become the new municipal secretary of the municipality West Maas en Waal effective July 1, 2026. He had already been serving as interim municipal secretary since March 4, 2024. The executive board the mayor and aldermen has now officially appointed Didier Oosterom as municipal secretary / general director.
Elected unanimously
The decision was made following an extensive recruitment and selection process conducted with the assistance of an external recruitment firm. The selection committee unanimously chose Didier Oosterom. According to Mayor Vincent van Neerbos, Didier possesses strategic insight, administrative acumen, and a knack for collaboration. “As executive board , we are executive board that he West Maas en Waal in West Maas en Waal . As municipal secretary, he serves as the chief advisor to the executive board the mayor and aldermen. In addition, as general director, he oversees the municipal administration. The municipal secretary acts as the link between the administration and the organization.
