Third edition of Schuif samen aan! (Pull up a chair!) will start soon
After two successful editions, Schuif samen aan! (Slide in together!) will return to the municipality of West Maas en Waal for the third time in October. All residents of the municipality are welcome to join in for a meal at Schuif Samen aan!.

The participating Multifunctional Accommodations (MFAs) or village halls provide the meals. They do this either alone or in collaboration with other parties.
Alderman Rob Reuvers on the initiative: "The Schuif samen aan! gatherings are all about meeting and getting together during the dark months of the year. I am delighted that a third edition is about to start. I hope that a diverse group will join each gathering so that many different residents can meet each other. So go along with your neighbor or bring someone who is often alone. And Schuif samen aan! I would like to thank the participating MFAs and village halls for their efforts. They are one of the most important locations for the municipality when it comes to meeting people.”
Six MFAs and village halls are participating in Schuif samen aan!
This year, six multifunctional centers and village halls are participating in Schuif samen aan! The municipality of West Maas en Waal is delighted with this. The participants are: Dorpshuis De Hucht, Dorpshuis de Schuur (in collaboration with Dorpsplatform Appeltern), Dorpshuis De Uithof, Kulturhus D'n Dulper, MFA De Rosmolen, and VTC Wamel.
The previous edition concluded with an evaluation meeting. During this evaluation, tips and tops were discussed. These have been incorporated into this third edition.
Meet each other from October through April
You can join in during the dark and cold months of the year. It is especially important to continue meeting each other during these months. The meetings take place from October 7 to April 6. There are various times and dates when residents can join in. An overview of the dates, times, and registration procedure can be found at westmaasenwaal.nl/schuifsamenaan.
Small contribution for meals
The maximum price for a meal is therefore €4 per adult. For children up to 12 years old, the price is €3. To keep the price of participation low, the municipality contributes to the costs of the meals provided by Schuif samen aan!
The MFAs and village halls operate on a pre-registration basis. There is a maximum number of places available per evening. This is necessary in view of the preparations and capacity.
