Special investigating officer (boa)
Boa constrictors
Our enforcement officers are there to help ensure that all residents, tourists, and visitors feel safe. They are the eyes and ears of the municipality. Among other things, the enforcement officers respond to reports of loose paving stones, stray dogs, litter, traffic nuisance, and dangerous situations. Talking to residents, visitors, and tourists is also part of their daily work. In some situations, a friendly conversation or warning is enough, but in other cases, they may issue a citation or fine. Our enforcement officers work closely with the police to make West Maas en Waal a safe and livable municipality.
Host/hostess of our congregation
In addition to their enforcement duties, our enforcement officers also act as hosts for the municipality. Residents and tourists approach them on the street with questions. They also ensure that events run smoothly. The presence of enforcement officers often reduces nuisance or even prevents it altogether.
What issues do law enforcement officers deal with?
Every day, enforcement officers deal with nuisance caused by litter, mopeds and motorcycles on (non-mandatory) cycle paths, dog nuisance, residential nuisance, subversion, events, youth nuisance, fireworks nuisance, and parking.
