Specialized transport
What is special transport?
If the cargo you wish to transport is so large that it exceeds the legal size and weight limits, we refer to this as special transport. You need a special permit for special transport. You are not allowed to transport it without one.
How long does it take?
You will be notified within 10 business days whether your exemption has been granted.
How does it work?
You can apply for the exemption if:
- the transport does not meet the legal requirements
- there are no alternatives (such as shipping in parts)
- You load and unload within the municipality
What should I do?
Apply for the exemption with the RDW at . Include the following information with your application:
- the dimensions of the shipment
- the desired route
- the time of transport
