Special transport
What is special transport?
If the cargo you want to transport is so large that its transport exceeds the legal dimensions and weights, we refer to this as special transport. You need an exemption for special transport. You cannot simply transport it without one.
How long will it take?
You will receive notification within 10 working days as to whether you will be granted the exemption.
How does it work?
You can apply for the exemption if:
- transportation outside the legal transportation requirements
- there are no alternatives (e.g., transport in parts)
- you load and unload within the municipality
What should I do?
Apply for the exemption from the RDW(Dutch Vehicle Authority) . Include the following information with your application:
- the dimensions of the transport
- the desired route
- the time of transport
