I receive Social assistance benefit would like to do volunteer work

Are you receiving Social assistance benefit interested in volunteering? If so, you must first request permission from Werkzaak Rivierenland. Your volunteer work must not interfere with your ability to hold a paid job.

What should I do?

You can contact Werkzaak Rivierenland or the volunteer job board. They can refer you to organizations where you can do approved volunteer work.

You can also look for opportunities on your own. Once you’ve found a volunteer position, you should contact Werkzaak Rivierenland. They will determine whether the placement can be approved.
