Assistance for the Self-Employed

What is social assistance for the self-employed?

Self-employed individuals are primarily responsible for their own income. However, if they face financial difficulties, they may, in certain cases, qualify for assistance under the Self-Employed Assistance Act (Bbz). Entrepreneurs may receive support in the form of, for example, an interest-free loan, a startup loan, or an income supplement to bring their income up to the level of public assistance.

Werkzaak Rivierenland is administering this program on our behalf.

What should I do?

You can apply for this Bbz benefit through Werkzaak Rivierenland. With a Bbz benefit, you can continue to cover your living expenses. You may also be eligible for a loan to invest in your business.

Anyone can find themselves in financial trouble. Setbacks such as unemployment, illness, or divorce can put people in a difficult situation.

Are you worried about your financial situation? Having trouble paying all your bills on time? The first step is to seek help. For example, you can contact the organization that sent you the bill. You may be able to work out a payment plan.
