Assistance for self-employed persons

What is social assistance for self-employed persons?

Self-employed persons are primarily responsible for their own income. However, if they encounter financial difficulties, they may, in certain cases, apply for assistance under the Self-employed Persons Assistance Scheme (Bbz). Entrepreneurs may receive support in the form of, for example, an interest-free loan, a start-up loan, or a supplement to their income up to the level of social assistance.

Werkzaak Rivierenland implements this scheme on our behalf.

What should I do?

You can apply for this Bbz benefit at Werkzaak Rivierenland. With a Bbz benefit, you can continue to pay your living expenses. You can also obtain a loan for investments in your business.

How can I get help with money problems?

Many people feel guilty or ashamed when they cannot pay their bills (on time) or are in debt. But did you know that this is much more common than you might think? Anyone can find themselves in financial difficulty. Setbacks such as unemployment, illness, or divorce can cause people to get into trouble.

Are you worried about your financial situation? Having trouble paying all your bills on time? The first step is to seek help. For example, you can contact the organization that sent you the bill. Perhaps you can arrange a payment plan.
