Social assistance, reporting changes

What should I do?

Is there a change in your situation? If so, you must notify us immediately. 

These changes include:

• find work 
• have an income (even if it is only for one day's work or for just a few hours a week)
• do volunteer work
• pursue a course of study
• obtain a loan
• move in together or relocate
• receive an inheritance, cash prize, or gift
• additional resident or regular guest in your home
• children who live with you and start or stop studying
• birth
• marriage
• purchase of a moped or car
• change of bank account number
• vacation or family visit abroad

How does it work?

You must immediately report any changes in your situation to Werkzaak Rivierenland via Mijn Werkzaak. If you are unsure whether you need to report something, always contact your income advisor.

Have you received an information form? Complete and sign the form. Submit the form before the specified date. If you do not submit the form, Werkzaak Rivierenland may temporarily suspend your benefits and ultimately even withdraw them. If you submit the form late, Werkzaak Rivierenland may issue you a warning or fine.

If you do not report all changes and as a result receive too much money, you will have to pay it back and may also be fined.

Werkzaak Rivierenland also regularly checks whether you are still entitled to your social assistance benefits. You will usually receive a form from Werkzaak Rivierenland. On this form, you must report any income you have received or any changes in your living situation.
