Social assistance, reporting a change

What should I do?

If there are any changes in your situation, please let us know immediately. 

These changes include:

• find a job 
• have an income (even if it's just for one day's work or a few hours a week)
• start volunteering
• pursue a degree
• get a loan
• move in together or move
• receive an inheritance, a cash prize, or a gift
• an additional resident or a regular guest in your home
• children who live with you and are starting or finishing their studies
• birth
• wedding
• purchase of a moped or car
• change of bank account number
• vacation or visiting family abroad

How does it work?

Please report any changes in your situation to Werkzaak Rivierenland immediately via Mijn Werkzaak at . If you are unsure whether you need to report something, please always contact your income counselor.

Have you received an information form? Please fill out the form and sign it. Submit the form by the specified date. If you do not submit the form, Werkzaak Rivierenland may temporarily suspend your benefits and may eventually even terminate them. If you submit the form late, Werkzaak Rivierenland may issue you a warning or a fine.

If you fail to report all changes and, as a result, receive an overpayment, you must repay the amount and may also be subject to a fine.

Werkzaak Rivierenland also regularly reviews whether you are still eligible for your Social assistance benefit. In most cases, you will receive a form from Werkzaak Rivierenland. On this form, you must report any income you have received or any changes in your living situation.
