Social assistance, reciprocal obligation
What is a quid pro quo?
Werkzaak Rivierenland may require you to perform a service in return for your social assistance. Officially, this is called: Service in return according to ability. This may apply if you are 18 years of age or older, but younger than the retirement age. The service in return consists of performing unpaid socially useful work in the community in exchange for receiving benefits.
Please note! If you fail to fulfill your obligation to perform a service in return to the best of your ability, the municipality may adjust your social assistance. The adjustment will be made in accordance with the Adjustment Regulation.
What should I do?
Werkzaak Rivierenland decides whether you are obliged to provide something in return. You can object to this decision and lodge an appeal.
