Residents of ’t Veerhuis Wamel have been Wamel relocated

The 55 Ukrainians Wamel at ’t Veerhuis in Wamel will be temporarily relocated this weekend due to the expected flooding.

Veerweg is expected to flood again. This means that ’t Veerhuis will be surrounded by water. Residents will be relocated to De Twee Linden in Beneden-Leeuwen Moeke Mooren in Appeltern.

The Rivierenland Water Board expects the water level to drop again over the course of next week. Residents will then be able to return to ’t Veerhuis.
