Anti-Discrimination Unit
What is it?
Discrimination is prohibited
No one wants to be excluded or treated unfairly, especially not because of their background, skin color, age, disability, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. Being able to participate and be who you are is essential. Whether it happens during a job interview, at school, in the workplace, while playing sports, or simply on the street, discrimination is unacceptable everywhere. Discrimination is also prohibited by law: this is stated in Article 1 of our Constitution, in the Criminal Code, and in equal treatment legislation.
Reporting discrimination helps
Discrimination doesn’t stop on its own. Unfortunately, most people who experience discrimination still don’t report it! But reporting it is important to stop discrimination. Raise awareness, make a difference, and do report it! Even if you witness discrimination or want to remain anonymous.
Those who report discrimination can count on independent advice and support if they wish.
