The province and municipality of West Maas en Waal have enabled sand extraction at the Over de Maas location, in combination with nature development and space for the Meuse River.

The procedure for the zoning plan for Over de Maas has been completed and the zoning plan is irrevocable.

Implementation
Preparatory work began at the end of 2009. All work is described in work plans and can be found in the downloads section, along with the zoning plan.
Nederzand
Sand extraction is carried out by the company Nederzand. You can find more information on their website Nederzand.nl and on the website Overdemaas.com.
Residents' association 'Over de Maas'
The residents' association 'Over de Maas' represents the interests of all residents. They focus on health and safety, nuisance, and damage. They remind parties of agreements made and monitor the agreed damage settlement.
