Waste, waste paper, and cardboard
What is it?
Waste paper includes newspapers, magazines, and leaflets, as well as packaging (not plastic-coated and without a water-repellent layer).
What should I do?
On Milieucentraal.nl, you can see what is considered waste paper.
- Avri collects waste paper.
- You can also take your waste paper to one of Avri's recycling centers or to an underground container.
Please note: You cannot bring your old paper and cardboard to the mini recycling center in Beneden-Leeuwen.
Have you moved?
Have you moved to a new-build home without waste containers and/or a waste pass?
You can request a new container package and/or waste pass free of charge during the first two months.
Have you moved to a house with a container package that does not meet your needs and/or is there no waste pass available?
You can then adjust your container package and/or apply for a waste pass free of charge during the first two months.

Request additional containers
Your basic package includes a maximum of two containers per type of waste. For residual waste containers (outlying areas), this is one. You pay for these containers via your waste collection tax.
Exchange containers
Would you like a larger or smaller container? You can exchange your containers once a year free of charge. It does not matter whether you exchange a large (240 liters) or a small (140 liters) container.
