What should I do?

• Separate your waste as much as possible. You can read more about this at afvalscheidenheelgewoon.nl.
• Do you have questions about waste collection? Please contact Avri.
• Not sure where the containers are in your neighborhood? Avri has a map where you can enter your address. You will then see the different containers and their locations.
• You can use your Avri waste card at all textile containers, diaper and incontinence material containers, and underground residual waste containers in all Avri municipalities.

Have you moved?

Have you moved to a new-build home without waste containers and/or a waste pass? 

You can request a new container package and/or waste pass free of charge during the first two months.

Have you moved to a house with a container package that does not meet your needs and/or is there no waste pass available?

You can then adjust your container package and/or apply for a waste pass free of charge during the first two months.

Request additional containers

Your basic package includes a maximum of two containers per type of waste. For residual waste containers (outlying areas), this is one. You pay for these containers via your waste collection tax.

Exchange containers

Would you like a larger or smaller container? You can exchange your containers once a year free of charge. It does not matter whether you exchange a large (240 liters) or a small (140 liters) container.

Beneden-Leeuwen mini recycling center for private individuals only

You can bring the following items to the mini recycling center at Veesteeg 8 in Beneden-Leeuwen free of charge:

• green garden waste
• small chemical waste (up to a maximum of 50 kilograms per visit)
• white goods and brown goods (all household appliances, audio and video equipment)
• asbestos (up to 2 m² free of charge without demolition notification. More information about the conditions for disposal can be found on the Avri website.)

Plastic, beverage cartons, and cans cannot be disposed of here. Neither can paper and cardboard. These items can be taken to Avri's recycling centers.
The mini recycling center is open every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The mini recycling center is only accessible to residents of West Maas en Waal.

Avri recycling centers

Residents of West Maas en Waal are also welcome at Avri recycling centers in Tiel (Medel business park), Zaltbommel, Geldermalsen, and Culemborg. These recycling centers have longer opening hours. And you can bring many more types of waste here .
