What is it?
You are responsible for ensuring that commercial waste is collected properly. The municipality is not responsible for the collection of commercial waste. This is because there are significant differences between the type and quantity of waste produced by different companies.
How does it work?
- You must comply with environmental requirements for the storage and disposal of commercial waste.
- The requirements depend on the type of waste and the amount of waste you deliver.
What should I do?
You enter into a contract with a certified collector or waste processor. You are free to choose, as long as you comply with environmental requirements. Certified companies that collect commercial waste can be found in the VIHB list of the NIWO Foundation. When entering into a contract, you must specify the following:
- the type of waste
- the average amount of waste
- how often the waste should be collected
Please note: as a business, you cannot bring your waste to the mini recycling center in Beneden-Leeuwen.
