What is it?

You can request an address search from the municipality in the following cases:

  • Someone is registered at your address but does not live there.
  • Someone has a mailing address at your address, and you can no longer reach that person.
  • Someone has a mailing address at your address, and you want to revoke your permission for that mailing address.

How does it work?

You can request an address verification if you are the owner, tenant, or co-resident of the property. You can also withdraw your request for an address verification.

What should I do?

You request an address search from the municipality.

What do I need?

  • Your valid ID.
  • Proof that you are the owner or tenant of the property, such as a purchase agreement or lease.
  • Do you know who this person is? If so, please provide their name, date of birth, and phone number.

How long does it take?

  • An address search takes up to 12 weeks.
  • You will be notified of the results of the examination.
  • Following the investigation, the municipality may remove someone from the registry or register them at a new address.
