Registration of the name of a new political party

This is an old message.

If you would like to participate in the municipal elections with a new political party, you can register this party. This can be done until December 22, 2025, at the latest.
To do so, please make an appointment with our Customer Contact Center by calling 14 0487. Alternatively, send an email to verkiezingen@westmaasenwaal.nl.

The form you need to fill out for registration:

Documents required 

Please attach the following documents to the completed form above: 

  • a copy of the notarial deed containing the articles of association of the political party;
  • proof of registration in the commercial register issued by the Chamber of Commerce;
  • proof of payment of the deposit of €225.00
    • Payment to IBAN NL44 BNGH 0285 0091 33
      in the name of the municipality of West Maas en Waal
      , stating 'Political party registration'.
  • a statement from the political party listing the names of the person authorized to act on behalf of the political party and his or her substitute.

The deposit will be refunded if the political party submits a valid list of candidates for the upcoming election.

Request assessment

The municipal electoral committee will decide whether the request can be granted.
You will receive a response to your request within four weeks.
After registration, the registered name will appear at the top of the list of candidates and on the ballot paper.
