Appeal

You can lodge an appeal by sending a letter of appeal to the Gelderland District Court, Administrative Law Division, PO Box 9030, 6800 EM Arnhem. A letter of appeal is a letter in which you explain why you disagree with the decision. You must send your letter of appeal within six weeks of the date on which the decision was sent.

You can also submit your appeal digitally to this court. You can do this using an appeal form. You will need a DigiD to do this. 

According to Article 6:5 of the General Administrative Law Act ( ), the appeal must contain the following: 
- your name and address;
- the date of your appeal;
- a description of the decision you are appealing. If possible, please enclose a copy of the decision;
- the reason(s) why you disagree with the decision;
- your signature. 
 

Apply for provisional relief

Have you lodged an appeal? Then you will have to wait for the judge's decision. In some cases, you cannot wait for this. In that case, you can submit a request for a provisional measure to the preliminary relief judge . With a provisional measure, you are requesting a provisional decision from the preliminary relief judge. 

You must submit your request to the Gelderland District Court, Administrative Law Division (PO Box 9030, 6800 EM Arnhem). You will be required to pay court fees to apply for a provisional measure. You can obtain more information about this from the court.
