The 20,000th resident of West Maas en Waal

As of November 25, the municipality West Maas en Waal 20,000 residents. On that day, Sylvian Jan-Willem Bernardus Avôt was born. This is a milestone for our municipality. Sylvian has been given this special title; he is the son of Daniëlle Avôt and Mike van Dooijeweert and the younger brother of Jayson.
The population of the municipality West Maas en Waal grown by 3,171 people since its establishment in 1984. From 16,829 in 1984 to 20,000 today—that’s a 119% increase.
Mayor Vincent van Neerbos paid a visit to Sylvian. Armed with a special stuffed animal and a large bouquet of flowers, he arrived at the young family’s home in Boven-Leeuwen. We wish Sylvian’s parents—and, of course, his big brother—much happiness and good health.
