150,000 kilometers of advertising for Land van Maas en Waal
On Monday, May 31, the Maas and Waal region promotion was presented on a truck belonging to SAS Transport & Fruit. Alderman René Cruijsen of the municipality of West Maas en Waal showed the trailer together with Herbert Sas, owner of SAS Transport & Fruit.
Years of advertising at home and abroad
The trailer of SAS Transport & Fruit is completely covered on both sides with full-color promotion of the Land van Maas en Waal region, combined with a reference to the website landvanmaasenwaal.nl. The striking images used for this promotion come from entrepreneur Adri van Ooijen, owner of Campingpark Het Groene Eiland and the floating holiday homes in Maasbommel. This form of promotion provides years of advertising with a large national and even international reach. "It's a very fresh image and it immediately gives you that holiday feeling. Our trucks drive throughout the Netherlands, but also in Belgium, Germany, and other parts of Europe. Each one covers around 150,000 kilometers per year. So this advertising will definitely be seen," says Herbert Sas, owner of Sas Transport & Fruit.
Regional promotion collaboration
This initiative is a collaboration between the municipality and the Land van Maas en Waal Tourist Office. Proud alderman René Cruijsen explains: “As the municipality of West Maas en Waal, we consider promoting the Land van Maas en Waal region to be extremely important. We are currently investing in various successive project plans. In 2020, for example, the foundations were laid for a beautiful website and this truck promotion. Over the next two years, we will be working with a sounding board group on a follow-up project. We have commissioned the Tourism Office to carry out this project. They will ensure professional execution."
Local, regional, and provincial commitment
"These partnerships show that we are proud of the beautiful regions in the area. We are promoting this in collaboration with local entrepreneurs. It is a wonderful partnership that we have also taken up in the Betuwe and Bommelerwaard regions. With this addition, there are now seven trailers promoting the region driving around the city and countryside. By collaborating with local parties, you can create so much added value for regional promotion. Our goal is to combine all local, regional, and provincial efforts so that we can strengthen each other. Our role in this allows us to create that synergy," says Richard de Bruin, director of the Tourism Bureau Foundation.
