150,000 kilometers of advertising for Land van Maas en Waal
On Monday, May 31, the Maas en Waal regional promotion was presented on a truck from SAS Transport & Fruit. Alderman René Cruijsen of the municipality of West Maas en Waal unveiled the trailer together with Herbert Sas, owner of SAS Transport & Fruit.
Years of advertising at home and abroad
The SAS Transport & Fruit trailer is completely wrapped on both sides with full-color promotional graphics for the Land van Maas en Waal region, along with a reference to the website landvanmaasenwaal.nl. The eye-catching images used for this promotion come from entrepreneur Adri van Ooijen and his Campingpark Het Groene Eiland, as well as the floating vacation homes in Maasbommel. This form of promotion provides years of advertising with a wide national and even international reach. “It’s turned out to be a very fresh design, and it immediately gives you that vacation feeling. Our trucks travel throughout the Netherlands, as well as in Belgium, Germany, and other parts of Europe. Each one covers about 150,000 kilometers annually. So this advertisement is sure to be seen,” says Herbert Sas, owner of Sas Transport & Fruit.
Regional Promotion Partnership
This initiative is a collaboration between the municipality and the Land van Maas en Waal Tourism Office. The proud Alderman René Cruijsen states: “As the municipality of West Maas en Waal, we consider the regional promotion of the Land van Maas en Waal extremely important. We are currently investing in various consecutive project plans. For instance, in 2020, the foundation was laid for a beautiful website and this truck promotion. Over the next two years, we will work with a sounding board group on a follow-up project. For this project, we have commissioned the Tourism Office. They will ensure professional execution.”
Local, regional, and provincial efforts
“Through these partnerships, we’re showing that we’re proud of the beautiful regions in this area. We’re bringing this to life in collaboration with local businesses. It’s a wonderful partnership that we’ve also launched in the Betuwe and Bommelerwaard regions. With this new addition, there are now seven trailers promoting the region traveling throughout the city and countryside. By partnering with local organizations, we can create so much more value for regional promotion. Our goal is to bundle all efforts at the local, regional, and provincial levels so that we can strengthen each other. Through our role in this, we can create that synergy,” says Richard de Bruin, director of the Tourism Bureau Foundation.
